Legacy Vault ("the App") is designed to help you securely organize important personal, financial, and end-of-life information for your family. We take the privacy and security of that information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, and the choices you have.

When you use Legacy Vault, we collect information you choose to enter, including:
- Account information: name and email address used to sign in
- Personal profile details: legal name, date of birth, emergency contacts, and medical notes you choose to add
- Financial snapshot references: names of banks, insurance companies, and account locations (we do not store passwords or account credentials)
- Documents: files you upload, such as wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and insurance policies
- Voice recordings and letters: personal messages you choose to record or write for family members
- Family and sharing information: names and contact details of people you invite to access your vault, and the permission level you assign them
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to operate the App's core features:
- To store and organize your information securely in your personal vault
- To let you share specific sections of your vault with people you explicitly invite
- To provide customer support if you contact us
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your vault contents for advertising.
How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your data is stored using encrypted cloud infrastructure with secure authentication. Access to your vault is protected by your account credentials, and shared access is limited to exactly the permissions you set (Full access, View only, or Limited).
Sharing With Others
Legacy Vault only shares your information with other people when you explicitly invite them to your vault and assign them access. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and database services) solely to operate the App. These providers do not have independent rights to use your data.
Your Choices and Control
- You can edit or delete any information in your vault at any time
- You can add or remove people you've shared access with at any time
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below
Children's Privacy
Legacy Vault is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
