Golden Sunset Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Closer mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we collect your name and email address (or, with Apple, its private relay email address if you choose to hide your email).

Content You Create
We collect and store content you create within the App, including:

• Your love language quiz answers
• Daily prompt responses
• Voice note recordings
• Shared vault entries
• Gift drop messages
• Reunion date and location (if you choose to enter one)

This content is only visible to you and the partner you are paired with in the App.

Usage and Device Information
We collect basic account activity information, including when you were last active in the App, to power features like presence indicators. We also collect a device push notification token so we can deliver notifications to your device.

Purchase Information
If you subscribe to Closer Premium, our payment processing partner (RevenueCat, working with Apple's App Store) provides us with records of your purchase and subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Operate and provide the core features of the App
• Connect you with your paired partner
• Send push notifications related to your activity in the App (such as a new voice note, a scheduled gift unlocking, or a daily prompt reveal)
• Provide the AI Love Language Translator feature (see Section 3)
• Process and manage your subscription, if applicable
• Maintain and improve the App

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following third-party service providers to operate the App. Each processes a limited set of data solely to provide their service to us:

• Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple authentication
• Google LLC — Google Sign-In authentication
• RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription and purchase management
• Vercel Inc. — application hosting and file storage (including voice note audio files)
• Neon Inc. — database hosting
• Anthropic, PBC — when you use the AI Love Language Translator feature, the message you are translating is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a rewritten version. Anthropic processes this text solely to return the translated result and does not use it to train their models when accessed via their API.

We do not permit these providers to use your information for their own independent purposes.

4. Data Sharing With Your Partner

Closer is designed for two paired partners to share certain content with each other, including daily prompt answers (once both partners have responded), voice notes, gift drops, shared vault entries, and presence/activity status. This sharing is a core function of the App and occurs only with the specific partner you are paired with.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, please contact us using the information in Section 8.

6. Children's Privacy

Closer is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
